Border Patrol announces construction of border wall in Chihuahuita neighborhood
The El Paso border wall is set to begin construction south of Downtown El Paso, according to the U.S. Border Patrol El Paso Sector.
A statement released by Border Patrol on Wednesday said the project consists of building a new barrier will replace the old legacy fence Downtown.
It will start south of the “Chihuahuita” neighborhood and continue east for four miles.
Chief of the U.S. Border Patrol El Paso Sector, Aaron A. Hull, will hold a press conference on Friday to discuss the plans of the new wall construction project.
