Calling All UTEP Miners: Come Volunteer This Saturday

The University of Texas at El Paso is organizing its 10th annual day of community service, Project MOVE, or Miner Opportunities for Volunteer Experiences.

The program started in 2009 and draws almost 2,000 members of the Miner Nation -students, staff, faculty, alumni and friends – to assist dozens of nonprofit organizations in a wide range of jobs. Participants build camaraderie and knowledge about the community, its residents and their needs.

Participating with Project MOVE as a volunteer is easy! Volunteers must have an active CUE account to register for a project. Volunteers should be able to work at the selected job site from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 13th, 2019. Volunteers must meet at 8 a.m. in Kidd Field to pick up their commemorative T-shirts and receive any last-minute instructions. Participants may park in the GR (Glory Road) 2 parking lot adjacent to Kidd Field. Transportation to the job site will not be provided. Carpooling is encouraged.
