El Paso High School Soccer teams head to the Elite Eight

It is the Elite Eight round of the UIL State Soccer Tournament.

El Paso is represnted in the 4A and 5A brackets.

The Bel Air game was supposed to start at 10AM but poor weather would postpone the start.

Battling 30 plus mph winds Bel Air would still take the lead in the first half scoring a single goal.

In the second, the Lake Dallas Falcons would sneak a goal in with 5 minutes remaining in the game.

That would tie it up and send the contest into overtime.

Within the first minutes Bel Air’s Bryan Guzman would open the flood gates for him and his team to score.

They won 4 to 1 and will play Sharpstown next Wednesday in the Final Four.

San Elizario also played in the Final Eight.

They met the Stephenville Yellow Jackets.

The Eagles would dispatch them easily 4 to 2.

San Elizario will play Palestine next Wednesday as well, at 4PM.
