Police: Pedestrian struck and killed on I-10 was evading Border Patrol agents

El Paso police have confirmed the pedestrian who was struck and killed on I-10 in West El Paso on Friday was evading Border Patrol agents.

Police said the unidentified male pedestrian crossed I-10 near Schuster to avoid Border Patrol when he was struck and killed by a car heading Eastbound. Police said the pedestrian was aged between 20s – 30s.

The driver of the vehicle has been identified as 25-year-old Brian Montes.

The investigation is still on going.
