El Paso Giving Day raises over $1.3 million for local nonprofits
EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- El Pasoans raised over $1.3 million for local nonprofit organizations during the 8th annual El Paso Giving Day Thursday.
Some of the local groups that benefitted from the annual fundraiser were Second Chance Wildlife Rescue, which received over $42,700; El Pasoans Fighting Hunger Food Bank with over $71,300, and the Loretto Academy Challenge Program with over $79,500 in donations.
“El Paso Giving Day was a great success and will help our local nonprofits to continue to serve our community,” said Andrea Macias, Paso del Norte Community Foundation Development Coordinator. “El Paso Giving Day is an important and critical fundraising event for nonprofits in our community. We are thankful to everyone who donated to great causes to help our community. El Paso Giving Day is a great reminder of how our community comes together to help those in need.”
