Nearly 13,000 pieces of evidence collected in DOJ’s ongoing Uvalde investigation
UVALDE, Texas--- The Department of Justice is analyzing 13,000 pieces of evidence connected to the massacre at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas.
It comes as authorities are working to eventually publish a report into the botched law enforcement response in the mass shooting that killed 19 children and two teachers last year.
More than 200 people have been interviewed, including first responders, family members, school personnel, and witnesses.
The probe will provide an independent account of the response, identify lessons learned and provide a road map for the future, it added. It is not a criminal or civil investigation.
No date has been set for the release of the findings.
