NMSU ends losing skid after taking down UIW Cardinals, 41-28

The NMSU Aggies are once again in the win column after defeating the Incarnate Word Cardinals, 41-28.

The Aggies entered the night with an 0-9 record before hosting the UIW Cardinals Saturday at Aggie Memorial Stadium.

NMSU was clicking on both sides of the ball, holding the Cardinals to just 86 yards of total offense in the first half.

The Aggies exploded for more than 600 total yards of offense, including a season-best 295 yards of rushing,

NMSU quarterback Josh Adkins played another mistake-free game, completing 28-of-38 pass attempts for 316 and two touchdowns. 

Senior running backs Jason Huntley and Christian Gibson combined for more than 200 yards on the ground and two touchdowns.

The Aggies overall record now stands at 1-9.

NMSU gets set to face UTEP (1-9) Saturday, November 23rd at Aggie Memorial Stadium.
