86-year-old Boston woman sets Guinness World Record for longest-serving and oldest flight attendant in history

BOSTON, Mass. — A Boston woman set a Guinness World Record for being the longest-serving and oldest flight attendant in history.

86-year-old Bette Nash has been a stewardess for American Airlines for 65 years, meaning she began her career during the Eisenhower Administration.

For much of her career, Nash was given the freedom to choose the flight routes she worked on, which was usually the New York-Boston-Washington D.C. shuttle. Nash said she would typically stick to this route to allow her to take care of her disabled son.
