El Paso’s Foreign Trade Zone 68 hosts annual industry summit

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- Business leaders in the El Paso, New Mexico and Juárez region gathered this morning to discuss economic development opportunities for the borderland.

The event is hosted by the El Paso International Airport's Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) 68. It will feature panel discussions led by industry leaders and experts focusing on mobility and transformation and updates on the airport’s efforts to attract aerospace, defense, and advanced manufacturing industries to the region.

UTEP's Executive Director of the Aerospace Center, Dr. Shery Welsh will also share insights on the future of aerospace in El Paso and science, technology, business, and development opportunities in El Paso.
