Former Netflix “Cheer” Star Sentenced

Jeremiah Harris, a former star from  the Netflix series "Cheer," has been sentenced to 12 years in federal prison for child sex and pornography offenses.

He was charged in 2020 in a seven-count indictment.

Harris reached a plea agreement with prosecutors and pleaded guilty to two charges in February.

Harris admitted receiving child pornography and engaging in interstate travel to meet a 15-year-old boy with whom he had sexual relations.

When he is out of prison, Harris will have eight years of court-supervised release.
