Thunderstorms drop decent rains across parts of El Paso Tuesday night

Thunderstorms hit parts of El Paso Tuesday night dropping moderate to heavy rain across sections of the city. The storms moved east to west with numerous lightning strikes. The rain was a welcomed site considering we're having a fairly dismal monsoon so far this season. August is our wettest month of the year so we do expect a bit more thunderstorm activity.

Storm coverage will spread a little bit more across the El Paso area later Wednesday and Thursday with a 30%-40% chance of storms. Temps are expected to drop a couple of degrees with highs in the upper 90's both Wednesday and Thursday.
