14 pounds of cocaine intercepted at Ysleta Port of Entry

EL PASO, Texas -- Customs and Border Protection officers thwarted a smuggling attempt after discovering 14.7 pounds of cocaine at the Ysleta Port of Entry Wednesday.

CBP officers say a 28-year-old female Mexican citizen was driving into the U.S. when she was referred for secondary inspection.

The woman was arrested and turned over to the El Paso County Sheriff's office to face charges.
