Marciano Cantero of Los Enanitos Verdes dies
EL PASO, Texas -- The lead vocalist and bass player of the Argentine rock band Los Enanitos Verdes passed away Thursday, just two weeks after his 62nd birthday on August 25.
According to El Tiempo, Marciano Cantero was in intensive care after undergoing surgery due to a kidney infection on September 5.
The official Enanitos Verdes Instagram account confirmed the musician's passing, sharing a black ribbon as a public display of grief.
Los Enanitos Verdes was formed by Cantero and two others in 1979 and was one of the biggest Latin rock bands in the 1980s and 1990s.
