Organ Mountain booster club says Abraham Romero died Saturday

LAS CRUCES, New Mexico - Organ Mountain High School Football player Abraham Romero died overnight

Organ Mountain High School's booster club sent a post on Sunday Morning confirming that the 17-year-old high school senior died with his mother by his side.

The post began with "It is with great sadness that we announce that Abraham Romero passed gently on Saturday, September 17 with his mother at his side."

Romero was injured on August 26th in a game against Deming. It was reported that his condition worsened on September 10th.

The post announcing his passing included a full timeline of when he was injured till when he died.
