Pedestrian killed in morning crash near downtown El Paso
UPDATE 3:38 p.m.: El Paso police have identified the victim as 57-year-old Maria Lorena Ponce Velazquez. Police say the driver, 37-year-old Fernando Renteria Camarena, was making a left turn from St. Vrain onto E. San Antonio Ave. when he struck Velasquez, who was crossing San Antonion Ave.
Police say the crash happened at 9:45 a.m.
EL PASO, Texas -- Investigators have been called out to E San Antonio Ave & St Vrain near downtown El Paso regarding a crash between a vehicle and a pedestrian.
