ABC-7 First Alert: Strong winds arrive Thursday and Friday

A nice Wednesday before the bigger changes Thursday and Friday.

The winds will be the big issue Thursday with gusts from the SW at 50 mph with some patchy blowing dust and sand likely. The winds will stay elevated through Friday morning with gusts turning to the NW behind a cold front at 40 mph. The winds Friday will make it feel colder as the cooler air filters in.

Less wind for the weekend.
