Three people arrested after incident in the parking lot of an East El Paso gentlemen’s club
EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- Three arrests have been made following an incident that led to a chase on April 17th in East El Paso.
In a news release sent by EPPD, officers were patrolling the area near the Jaguar's Gold Club.
El Paso Police Officers saw a vehicle with two people inside, and stopped them, according to the department.
The occupants were 29-year-old Damian Arce and 27-year-old Tyisha Mullen.
Officers tried to get Arce to leave his vehicle due to suspected marijuana use, but he then attempted to flee.
After he fled, Arce allegedly struck a police car and several other cars in the parking lot, while dragging the officers.
A fight broke out as officers tried to take both Arce and Mullen into custody.
As the officers were trying to arrest the two, a third person, 29-year-old Cantrell James Miller, drove at the officers and revved his engine.
The news release states that Miller seemed to show he was going to run over the officers. This led to an officer firing his gun.
Miller than allegedly fled the scene and abandoned his car in Central El Paso.
Miller was not arrested until Saturday, April 22nd, after being stopped with narcotics.
All three suspects face charges of Aggravated Assault on a Public Servant, while Arce and Mullen both are facing charges of resisting arrest.
