Give the gift of music for the summer

The Salvation Army

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- Music lessons and instruments can be very expensive, and it can prove an obstacle for children who want to learn music.

This summer, The Salvation Army music program will accept 25 students, that’s 10 more students than last year.

The Salvation Army is requesting instrument donations: cornet, trumpet, baritone, alto horn, trombone, tuba, and keyboard.  Instrument donations will be accepted at 4300 E Paisano Drive.

The program includes lunch, snacks, and field trips every Friday. The program is completely free.

Music has been proven to relieve stress and improve communication. The program provides a safe environment where children can make mistakes while also growing and learning from them.

The program starts June 19th. All spots are currently filled for the summer, there is a waiting list however that parents can sign their children up for. To be placed on the waiting list call 915-544-9811.
