Update: El Paso Water sent ABC-7 the following statement.

"On Saturday morning, EPWater staff was dispatched to a Northeast neighborhood near a water main break at Sean Haggerty and McCombs to assess the area. Although water service was not interrupted, EPWater personnel has been in contact with customers within the immediate vicinity."

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- An ABC-7 viewer says a water main break on Sean Haggerty Drive this weekend caused damage to her property.

Videos of the water main break shows a large amount of water spraying up dozens of feet into the air.

The viewer tells ABC-7 that the water main break has since caused a sinkhole. El Paso Water argues that the hole in the street does not meet the definition of a sinkhole. A spokesperson tells ABC-7 that the water crew had to break apart the street to fix the break, causing the hole.

ABC-7 reached out to El Paso Water for comment and received the following statement.

"There was a main break Saturday morning. Water service was not impacted, crews made repairs that same day and the water line was up and running by Saturday night."
