Man goes missing at Guadalupe Mountains National Park

DELL CITY, Texas (KVIA) -- National Park Service has initiated a missing person search at the Guadalupe Mountains National Park.

71-year-old, Richard Berry was last seen on Thursday, November 2nd, around noon at the Marcus and Blue Ridge Trail Junction.

Berry is said to have shared his hiking plans with his family. He was expected to check into a hotel later that day but never arrived, according to National Park Services Facebook page.

Berry's car was located at the trailhead at Dog Canyon.

Berry is a white male, bald; 5-foot 11-inches and weighs approximately 200 pounds.

He was last seen wearing with a backpack and blue jacket.
