Two Vehicle Crash On US Hwy 54, Thursday Morning

EL PASO, TX. – A Thursday morning vehicle crash shut down a major El Paso roadway for a shorttime.

It happened at around 8:45 a.m.near the U.S. Highway54 overpassat Hondo Pass. El Paso Police say a Honda crashed into a small Toyota truck, causing it to flip over. The driver of the truck was able to walk away from the crash, but he was still taken to R.E. Thomason Hospital for minor injuries.

The driver of the Honda was fine, but there was substantial damage done to the front, right side of the car. US 54 was closed for about an hour and a half while officials cleared the scene and traffic is moving smoothly. Police are still investigating this crash and there is no word yet on any charges.
