Early Morning Vehicle Crash On I-10 In Upper Valley

VINTON, TX. – Interstate10 is back open after being closed for several hours early Saturday morning, aftersheriff’s officers had to divert traffic off the interstate tocheck out a crash inEl Paso’sUpper Valley.

It happened around 1:40 a.m. near the I-10 East exit at Vinton. The collision was between a car and a big rig.Theaccidentcompletely shut down traffic in east bound lanes as deputies instructed drivers to use access roads to navigate around the crash.

ABC-7was on the scene to bring you imagesof the damage to the car. The front end was badly damaged, while at least one person was taken to the hospital for treatment.Officials saythe injuries are not life threatening. Sheriff’s officials re- opened the east bound lanes later in the morning.
