Woman Savagely Beaten In T Or C, Left For Dead

TRUTH OR CONSEQUENCES, N.M. – A Truth or Consequences woman is brutally beaten and left for dead.

Now her daughter is asking for help to find the man she says is responsible; Truth or Consequences Police say Peggy Hamilton’s live-in boyfriend, 31-year-old Phillip Richardson attacked her in the middle of the night, tied her up, continued to beat her for eleven hours and then left her for dead.He crushed thewholeside of her face, both sides of her nose, her orbit of her eye; her eye was literally floating.

Shawna Ontiveros described her mother’s injuries after theattack as’disturbing.’ The statement of facts from the criminal complaint states Richardson was upset with Hamilton for playing pool with another man while the two were out for drinks that night. The argument ended there, but later that night after the two had gone to bed, investigators say Hamilton woke to Richardson punching her in the face repeatedly until she lost consciousness.

When she woke again, according to the court document, Richardson had taken off her clothes and tied her wrists to her ankles. The complaint states Richardson continued to beat Hamilton while telling her he should kill her.Before he stoppedbeating her, he urinated in her face. According to the police complaint, Richardson then stole $1,000 cash from Hamilton’s purse andtook off in a borrowed car. He’s not been seen since.

“Never in my life didI ever dream I would ever see my mom so belittled. I would never have expected to see her so deformed,”Shawna said. Richardson faces Attemped Murder and Kidnapping charges.
