Mondays With Mike: Miners Comeback Win Over SMU

EL PASO, TX — UTEP head football coach Mike Price acknowledged on Monday what he called a “great and resilient effort” his team made against Southern Methodist University in the game played on Sept. 29.

Price said despite several injured players, the team managed to “come off the bench” for a win.

The Miners tailed the SMU Mustangs for the first half of the game, but came alive in the third quarter, ultimately going on to erase a 21-point deficit and win by a score of 48-45. It was the second greatest come-from-behind win in UTEP history.
