AT&T and Boys & Girls Club Open Learning Hub in Segundo Barrio
EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- In partnership with the Boys and Girls Club, AT&T has opened a Connected Learning Center in Segundo Barrio, El Paso.
This center, the seventh of its kind in Texas, provides computer access, internet, and digital literacy classes, addressing the needs of a community facing digital disparities.
AT&T added an extra touch by gifting one hundred laptops during the center's unveiling.
This resource is expected to positively impact students and parents, offering educational support and assistance with tasks like resume building.
According to AT&T officials, recognizing Segundo Barrio as one of the country's poorest zip codes, the center aims to bridge the digital divide, providing a space for families and children to learn, grow, and advance.
It emphasizes inclusivity, inviting everyone in the community to utilize its services, aligning with the Boys and Girls Club's commitment to serving and welcoming all.
