Former Governor Says He Won’t Run For Senate

TAOS, N.M. (AP) – Former Governor Gary Johnson says he won’t be running for the U.S. Senate seat currently held by Republican Pete Domenici.

Johnson tells The Associated Press that Domenici’s legacy looms large when it comes to bringing federal dollars to the state.

Johnson says he thinks the Senate job entails bellying up to the trough, and he doesn’t think he would be very good at that.
