New Boxing Program Coming To Dona Ana County
LAS CRUCES, NM — Dona Ana County Sheriff’s Department officials have received state funding to organize andoversee a boxing program to benefit youngsters living in Southern New Mexico.
The money will first pay for the construction of two new buildings in thecommunity of DonaAnato house the program’s activities.
Groundbreaking has already taken place nearahealth center and baseball field.Once that building is completed, officials will start workon asecond building.
Officials are in the process of purchasing equipment is in the process of being purchased. Special attention is being paid to acquire boxing gear that willensure the safety and welfare of the youngsters who will participate in the program.
