EL PASO, TX. – An event many in the borderland have been waiting for is finally here: “eXa” radio’s free concert with musical guests including RBD, Gloria Trevi, Cristian Castro and Belanova5.
Everywhere this group shows up to even sign autographs causes a lot of excitement. so El Paso officials are taking precautions to make sure everyone at Cohen Stadium Thursday, fans and performers, are safe.
A lot of people are used to seeing performances like this in other cities, but not in El Paso. Thanks to eXa Radio, residents can enjoy the huge music festival in Northeast El Paso; this is an international event, including some of the top names in Latin music.
Crowds began gathering early Thursday and gates opened around 4:15 p.m. to allow concert-goers wielding signs of adoration into the free concert. With a crowd of this magnitude, off-duty sheriffs will be on hand to monitor as well as to make sure the thousands on hand get in and out safely.
For those going to the concert, officials remind them that water bottles are not allowed, nor umbrellas, nor anything carried in pockets beyond money for food and souvenirs.
