Lujan Announces Candidacy For U.S. House

SANTA FE, N.M.(AP) – There’s another candidate for northern New Mexico’s open congressional seat.

Ben Ray Lujan annnounced today that he’ll run for the U.S. House from the 3rd District.

Lujan, a Democrat, is an elected member of the Public Regulation Commission and is the son of House Speaker Ben Lujan.

The seat is currently held by Tom Udall, a Democrat who decided to run for the U.S. Senate seat being vacated by Republican Pete Domenici.
