GA Police Say Shots Fired At Suburban Mall

DECATUR, Georgia. (AP) – Police Monday were investigating reports of shots fired at a suburban Atlanta mall.

There were no reports of any injuries. The report of shots fired at The Gallery at South DeKalb, formerly known as the South DeKalb Mall, came in about 12:30 p.m., DeKalb County police spokeswoman Mekka Parish said.

She said she did not know whether the shots were fired inside or outside the mall, whether anyone was injured or whether any suspects were arrested.

Malls around the nation were expected to be crowded Monday, the last major shopping day before Christmas.

Earlier this month, a teenage gunman killed eight people and himself at a mall in Omaha, Neb.
