Power Outage In Northeast El Paso

EL PASO — El Paso Electric has confirmed that powerwas out through parts of Northeast El Paso, but was restored just after 3 p.m.

The outage affected nearly 3,000 customers for about an hour with calls flooding the emergency dispatch operators in the area.

The first reports of power loss were received just after 2 p.m. Tuesday. Callers to emergency dispatch said traffic lights were out or flashing at various intersections along a ‘Dyer-corridor’.

Initial reports do not indicate any accidents or problems. More information will be available in our 4 p.m. newscast.
