A Fifth Suspect Arrested In Beating Death Of Teen

EL PASO — A fifth suspect was arrested in connection with the assault that led to the death of 19-year-old Valentin Rodriguez last Sunday.

Twenty-one year-old Marcus White was arrested Friday and charged with one count of organized criminal activity. Earlier this week, four others were arrested, two 18-year-olds and two 21-year-olds.

Rodriguez was at a house party in Northeast El Paso when, investigators allege, the group attacked him and he was knocked unconscious from being kicked and punched.

His friends took him home and stayed the night with him at his apartment. When he didn’t regain consciousness the next morning, his friends contacted police and he was pronounced dead.
