Cat Discovers Hidden Child Porn Stash

AUSTIN (AP) – Police have arrested an 24-year-old Austin man after a cat found his hidden stash of child pornography.

A woman who moved into an Austin apartment once occupied by Luis Jimenez noticed her cat could stick its head in a gap between the pantry and the ceiling in the kitchen.

The warrant says a friend, when reaching into the gap, found DVDs containing child porn. Authorities believe Jimenez forgot the stash in the apartment when he moved out last year.

The new tenant took the DVDs to the apartment office and police were able to track them to Jimenez He’s charged with possession of child pornography. Bond is $4,000.

Possession of child pornography is a third-degree felony punishable by up to ten years behind bars and a fine up to $10,000.
