Dallas Driver Indicted In Deadly Las Cruces Wreck
LAS CRUCES, N.M. (AP) – A Dona Ana County, New Mexico, grand jury has indicted a suburban Dallas man on vehicular homicide and other felony charges in a fatal head-on collision Christmas Eve.
Assistant District Attorney James Dickens says 36-year-old Jesus Ramirez of Grand Prairie is charged in a fatal head-on traffic crash Christmas Eve, then fleeing the scene.
A warrant’s been issued for his arrest. Dickens says Ramirez caused the crash on heavily traveled two-lane New Mexico state highway 404 that killed 18-year-old Raymundo Becerra of Anthony, New Mexico.
He faces one count each of vehicular homicide, great bodily harm by vehicle and leaving the scene of an accident.
