New Tourism Sites For El Paso Featured In TV Campaign

EL PASO — The Sun City is being featured in a new series of advertising spots promoting places to see and things to do around the Lone Star State.

Commercials produced by New Image Television will begin airing inmid-February on national networks that highlight places of interest around Texas.

In conjunction, a website will allow travelers to virtually tour parts of the Sun City and the surrounding borderlandincluding the Wyler Tramway, the Mission Trail, White Sands, and Old Mexico.

The Travel Channel, Lifetime, and USA Network will be running the 30-60 second promotional ads.The city of El Paso nor the El Paso Convention and Visitors Bureauhad topay for the airtime or production. The costs were absorbed by a group called Texas Tourism in order to generate interest around the state.
