Early-Morning Outage Leaves Hundreds In The Dark

EL PASO — EP Electric officials are still investigating the cause of a power outage that left hundreds in the dark.

Officials say the outage left 1,100 customers without electricity in northeast El Paso. The main areas affected were between Dyer, Diana, Ellerthorpe and Sunrise Magnetic.

The outage was first reported to officials shortly before 10 am and power was restored an hour later.

Some residents in the area said there have been many outages in recent days. Power is often restored immediately and then cut off again, they said.

One residentbelieves theoutages are connected to ongoingconstruction on I-54 and near Fort Bliss.
