Starbucks Stores To Close Temporarily For Training

Starbucks will close 7,100 stores nationwide for three hours onTuesday eveningto retrain about 135,000 in-store employees and people who oversee the stores, according to information published Monday in the Seattle Times.

A spokeswoman quotedin the article said the company was training employees on how to make their drinks with greater consistency.

Starbucks began informing workers over the past couple of days. It will close company-operated stores from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. local time.

No word was released as to how many stores in El Paso and Las Cruces would be closed.
