EL PASO, Texas – Monday marks the beginning of what officials are calling vaccination week, where some clinics in New Mexico and the borderland will offer free immunizations.

A cross-border caravan headed out Monday morning at 9 am from La Clinica de Familia in Sunland Park. The caravan will head to La Fe Wellness Center in South El Paso where Mayor John Cook will help celebrate a health fair. Then, the caravan will head for a clinic in Juarez, where the city’s mayor will also take part in a fair.

Officials said its part of a week-long celebration of commitment to protect the border communities health with immunizations.
