NEW THIS MORNING – BUSINESS FIRE

EL PASO, Texas – A fire that broke out late Monday night caused more than $100,000 in damages. The El Paso Fire Department responded to the blaze at a woodworking business in the 1300 block of Magoffin in downtown El Paso.

It took firefighters about an hour and a half to bring the fire under control. No injuries were reported and crews were able to rescue a dog that was kept at the business.

The flames almost spread to an adjacent building that’s home to a halfway house.18 residents of that house were evacuated, but have since returned.

Fire Marshals Investigators are trying to determine what caused the blaze.
