Follow Tips For Hassle-Free Holiday Travel
By ABC-7 Reporter Marissa Monroy
Officials at the El Paso International Airport said they expect heavier than usual weekend traffic because of the Fourth of July holiday.
Combine that with increased travel fees and travelers could be in for quite a frustrating experience.
How do you avoid irritations and save a little cash? Here are some tips:
Beearly. Security lines get long, especially on holiday weekends. Pack light. Ship heavy items instead of taking them with you. Plan on bringing a pet? Check the fees–several airlines have raised the charges for pets on the go. Consider carry-on. More and more airlines are charging for even the first checked item of luggage. Be sure to follow the rules for carry-on items. Remove your laptop and other electronics from your carry-on bag for inspection. Make sure you only carry liquids and gels in bottles that are three ounces or less and put them all in one quart-sized plastic bag.
Following these tips might not only save you some money but also save you a headache or two this holiday weekend.
