Texas Inmate Executed For 1994 Dallas Double Slaying
HUNTSVILLE, Texas (AP) – Texas tonight executed a man condemned for gunning down two video store workers during a 1994 robbery in Dallas.
Leon David Dorsey IV was the seventh prisoner executed this year in the nation’s most active death penalty state.
In his final statement, Dorsey said, quote: “I love all y’all. I forgive all y’all. See y’all when you get there. Do what you’re going to do.”
Dorsey acknowledged his sister when witnesses filed in.
Dorsey in 1998 was serving 60 years, for killing a woman during an Ennis store robbery, when a police cold case squad linked him to the Blockbuster killings.
Officials say Dorsey killed Kyon Suk Chon about five months after the video store shootings that claimed the lives of James Armstrong and Brad Lindsey.
Blockbuster security video captured Dorsey’s image.
