Bimbo Bakeries Recalling Oroweat Bread Sold In NM

DENVER (AP) – Bimbo Bakeries USA is recalling Oroweat 100 percent Whole Wheat bread because it might contain undeclared tree nuts, which could cause a severe or life-threatening reaction in people who have allergies to tree nuts.

Company officials say its Oroweat Health Nut bread was inadvertently placed in the wrong packaging at the company’s Denver plant.

No illnesses have been reported, according to the company. The recalled bread has a best buy date of Sept. 22, Sept. 23 or Sept. 25. It was sold in Iowa, Wyoming, Nebraska, Colorado and New Mexico. A limited amount was sold in the Moab, Utah area. For more information, consumers can call 877-224-7374.
