Sam Donaldson To Speak At UTEP Wednesday

EL PASO, Texas — Sam Donaldson will speak at UTEP this week about the changes president-elect Barack Obama will face and the historical impact of his presidency, UTEP officials said.

Donaldson, a UTEP alumnus, is a 41-year ABC News veteran. He will speak at 3 p.m. Wednesday at UTEP’s Undergraduate Learning Center, Room 106. The event is free and open to the public.

Donaldson was born in El Paso and graduated from Texas Western College (now UTEP)in 1955. He served two appointments as chief White House correspondent for ABC News, from 1977-1989 and from January 1998 to August 1999, covering Presidents Carter, Reagan and Clinton.

He currently appears on the daily show “Politics Live” on ABC News Now, the ABC News digital network.
