El Pasoans Turn Out For Free Denny’s Grand Slam Breakfasts

EL PASO, Texas — Every Denny’s restaurant is offering a free Grand Slam meal today. The promotion started at 6 a.m. and will end at 2 p.m.
Everyone from students to teachers to children in pajamas to people in professional attire were in line at the Denny’s on Gateway East near Geronimo.
For some it is a big plus to get a meal without shelling out any cash, especially during a recession.
“It’s just my husband working, and we’re struggling to get by, and groceries, so, figured why not treat ourselves to a free meal?” said Judy Romero, who brought her daughter for a free Grand Slam.
There are seven Denny’s locations in El Paso. The Las Cruces restaurant is not participating.
