Man Who Allegedly Posed As EMT Is Arrested

EL PASO, Texas — An anonymous tip led sheriff’s deputies to arrest a man wanted for posing as an emergency medical tech.

Sheriff’s officials said a tip led deputies to Providence Memorial Hospital, where they took 24-year-old Miguel Alberto Martinez, Jr. into custody without incident.

Martinez was also wanted for theft of property and credit card abuse. He remains booked and remains at the El Paso County Detention Facility, sheriff’s officials said.

Martinez was recently featured on Crime Stoppers of El Paso’s “Most Wanted” list.
