Gas Line Ruptures In Central El Paso

EL PASO, Texas — About 10 to 20 Central El Paso homes were without gas service Monday afternoon after a gas line ruptured, El Paso Fire Department officials said.

The rupture happened about 12:20 p.m. in an alley between Gold and Silver streets. Work crews apparently punctured a two-inch gas line, officials said.

It took about two hours for firefighters and gas crews to close off the gas line. No injuries were reported.
