Man Who Crashed Motorcycle Looks For ‘Angel Nurse’

EL PASO, Texas — A motorcyclist is near death when a stranger steps in.

It was October when Dwain Kilgore jumped on his motorcycle and went riding with his buddies on Loop 375 like he had done so many times before. But this time fate had a change of plans.

“I was coming off Sunfire…I hit a bump…it lost control,” said Dwain Kilgore. Dwain crashed near the Pebble Hills exit and landed 60 yards away from his bike.

“I raised my right arm and a woman driving toward me swerved to avoid hitting me,” he said. Then fate would intervene again. A registered nurse driving by stopped and helped control the bleeding in Dwain’s head.

He says that saved his life. “People tell me I had an angel over me.”

When Dwain’s wife Carla arrived on the scene, she jumped in the ambulance with her husband and the nurse went on her way.

Now the family hopes to find her and thank her.

“What some people would think could be so meaningless can make such an impact in some people’s lives,” Carla said.

Dwain and Carla said if they find their angel nurse they plan to give her a big hug and then take her out for a big dinner.

“Please come forward, so we can tell you thank you and how we appreciate you,” Dwain said.
