New Details On Sex Offender Arrested Monday

We have some disturbing details for parents.

A sex offender was allegedly using his morning drive to prey on young children.

We first told you about 41-year-old Eddie Carrillo earlier this week when he was arrested and police investiagtors executed a search warrant at his pet shop.

“They should let the school know that we do have child molesters here,” said Doris Armendariz.

Parents outside Clenedin elementary school in northeast El Paso were shocked to hear a man was arrested and charged with indecent exposure just down the street from their child’s school.

” They expect us to be on the internet all day long as mothers. The school should send us a letter to let us know, ” said Armendariz.

A complaint affidavit states two plain clothes officers began following 41 year-old Eddie Carrillo after a tip…that a man was seen committing a lewd act while driving a white 1988 buick around elementary schools.

The officers traced the car’s plates to Carrillo who was a suspect in an indecent exposure case.

The I-team found Carrillo has a long history including several charges of indecency with a child.

He has pleaded guilty to two.

Carrillo owns Pet World off Hondo Pass.

ABC Seven was there Tuesday when police investigators executed a search warrant following his arrest on Monday…they confiscated a computer.

According to the complaint affidavit:

Around seven-am Monday, police followed carrillo to Robert E. Lee elementary.

They say he parked his car and appeared to place his right hand around his waist band and appeared to be gratifying himself sexually while watching some of the children.

They say he then visited Burnett elementary school…

Then bassett middle school …and then Clendenin elementary school.

That’s where he stimulated himslef sexually…again.

” These are our babies, my little girl is only six years old,” said Armendariz.

Police have asked ABC seven to stop showing Carrillo’s mugshot because they say it could compromise the investigation.

As far as his pet shop, according to an El Paso police spokesman, the city’s ordinance does not restrict where a sex offender can work.

Carrillo was no longer on parole or probation at the time of his arrest.
