UPDATE: Popular El Paso Club Faces Scrutiny Again
EL PASO, Texas — Five people were arrested asa popular club on El Paso’s Eastside faces scrutiny for the third time in the past few months.
On Friday night, El Paso County Sheriff’s Deputies raided the D Club on Montana.
According to the deputies, they, along with officials from the Texas Alcohol and Beverage Commission, arrested one club employee and four other people on charges of drug possession. Four were arrested for possessing ecstasy and one was arrested for possessing cocaine.
Gerardo Avila, 18 – Possession of Controlled Substance (2.5 grams of esctasy)- $3,000 bond
Saul Martinez, 19 – Possession of Controlled Substance (4.5 grams of esctasy)- $3,000 bond
Frankesly Calderon, 22 – Possession of Controlled Substance (cocaine)- $3,000 bond
Oswaldo Sepulveda, 19 – Delivery Controlled Substance (.8 grams of esctasy)- $3,000 bond

A 16-year-old was arrested for delivery controlled substance (.8 grams of ecstasy) and released to the custody of his parents.
Gary Hill, an attorney for the club, said everyone who enters the establishment is searched to make sure they are not in possession of any drugs.
Hill said two people were arrested outside the club but asserts no employees were arrested or charged.
Officials from the Sheriff’s office said the TABC cited the club and are continuing their investigation. Meanwhile, the club is still open.
Hill and his client, who feel the club is being unfairly targeted, plan to speak with Sheriff Richard Wiles in the near future.
