Wanted Fort Bliss Soldier Apprehended In North Carolina

FORT BLISS, Texas — U.S. Marshals apprehended a wanted Fort Bliss soldier in North Carolina on Saturday.

Twenty-three-year-old PV2 Steven Fabian Guzman was wanted for questioning in connection with an alleged attempted rape and breaking and entering, Fort Bliss spokesman Dieter Jester said.

Guzman is an active-duty soldier at Fort Bliss. He is expected to be extradited back to El Paso, Jester said.

Fort Bliss officials said the alleged attempted rape happened in El Paso but did not say whether the incidenthappened on post.
